Argentina has been distinguished by the UNESCO in 1981 by registering in the World Heritage List some properties of natural and cultural relevance. Argentina has a wide variety of ecosystems where you can simply be in contact with nature and enjoy the beautiful landscape or practice recreational and sport activities as trekking, mountain biking, white-water rafting, canoeing, bird watching, fishing, skiing, golf, and wine tours.

Peru, the largest in area in the Andean countries, was the cradle of the most advanced indigenous civilizations and most powerful empire in pre-Columbian South America-that of the Incas. Peru was also the focus of Spanish colonial domination for its first two hundred years of rule. What remained of pre-Columbian America with regard to people, culture, and settlements is perhaps better represented in Peru than in any other country in South America.

Day 1: Arrival

Our Adventure begins as you board your flight to Lima. Transfer upon arrival to your hotel for registration.

Day 2: Exploring Lima City

After breakfast, visit the fascinating Archaeological Museum, have lunch at Rosa Náutica Restaurant, and take a ride to the historic center and residential districts of Lima. The city of Lima was founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on January 5, 1535, the eve of the Epiphany of the Magi – from which it derived its evocative original name of La Ciudad de los Reyes or “The City of Kings”. It is a city of rare fascination and unexpected pleasures. Lima has decaying colonial splendor and the teeming vitality of an oriental bazaar; melancholy cloudy winters and warm breezy summers; impoverished urban sprawl and quiet elegant corners among ancient buildings where the night air is scented with jasmine. Day 3: Exploring Cusco

This morning you are transferred to the airport where you embark on your flight to Cusco, an Andean community and former ancient capital of the Inca Empire. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour which includes the Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas; La Compania, dubbed the most beautiful church, of fine carving and gold leaf which took nearly 100 years to complete; and old-colonial style buildings. Just outside of Cusco your visit this afternoon takes you to the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, a testimonial to the Incan architectural skills. B.D

Day 4: Exploring the Sacred Valley

This morning depart for the Urubamba Valley to the local village of Pisac, famous for its bustling, colorful market which attracts tourists from all over the world to try their hand at bartering for local sweaters, ponchos, wall hangings, jewellery and goods. After lunch, continue on to the massive fortress of Ollantaytambo. The fortress, a formidable stone structure that climbs massive terraces reaching the top of a high peak, was the valley’s main defense against the Antis and was the site of the Incas’ greatest victory against the Spanish during the wars of conquest. Day 5: Machu Picchu – Inca Citadel

This morning you board the new deluxe Orient Express train ‘Hiram Bingham’ to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco in the afternoon. Explore the city's ruins, and feel its pulse as you visualize the lives of the priests, craftsmen, and servants who inhabited this seemingly uninhabitable citadel. Excavations at the site have revealed skeletons, artifacts and woolen clothing, but no gold. The same precision of assembled stones exists here as in other Incan sites. Overlooking the raging Urubamba River and discovered in a hidden tangle of vines and trees atop the mountain, the city of Machu Picchu will forever hold its secret of its destruction - the Incas left no written record. B.L.D

Quito in the 13th century was the prosperous center of the Kingdom of Quitus. Later, it became the northern capital of the Inca Empire. In the 16th and 17th Centuries, Colonial architects built formidable temples, monateries and mansions here. Today the colonial sector preserves over 400 years of Spanish heritage. In 1978 UNESCO designated this urban jewel as a World Heritage Site. B.L
