Peru, the largest in area in the Andean countries, was the cradle of the most advanced indigenous civilizations and most powerful empire in pre-Columbian South America-that of the Incas. Peru was also the focus of Spanish colonial domination for its first two hundred years of rule. What remained of pre-Columbian America with regard to people, culture, and settlements is perhaps better represented in Peru than in any other country in South America.

A 4-hour tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that earned Buenos Aires the soubriquet of the Paris of South America. From the charming cobbled alleys and colonial architecture of San Telmo along to the colourful La Boca district onto Plaza de Mayo, dominated by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Nación Bank, the Cathedral and original Parliament House, up the leafy Avenida de Mayo towards the imposing grandeur of the Palace of Congress and then on to finish at the historically fascinating Recoleta Cemetery, you will discover the facts, stories and anecdotes that make up the colourful tapestry of the history of Buenos Aires. Day 2: Buenos Aires / Iguazu
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguazú. Upon your arrival in Iguazú, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for registration. One of the most popular destinations in Argentina and a sure-fire candidate for the eighth wonder of the world, the Iguazú Falls –or Great Waters in guaraní, the local Indian dialect- lie on the triple frontier of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina and are a powerful magnet for visitors from all over the world. B.
Day 3: Walking Tour to Argentine Falls
For your first view of the falls, drive or walk to the Argentine side of the Iguazú National park and stroll along the lower Circuit. Just over a kilometre of paths running along the basin of the Devil’s Gorge that take you by turns under small splashing waterfalls or hopping over rivulets into the heart of the cascades with walkways that are only a few metres from the edge of the main falls. Continue on the small ecological train which chugs cheerfully through the rainforest, under the thick foliage inhabited by languid butterflies and lizards, while the sounds of birds and monkeys fill the air.
Day 4: Full Day Brazilian Side of the Falls
Drive to the Brazilian side of the Iguazú National Park and walk along the edge of the river gorge. Enjoy the diversity of views of the falls to be discovered from the maze of walkways that take you even closer to the edge. Continue this tour to the Macuco trail that is a great way to discover the magic sights and sounds of the jungle. Travelling in open jeeps means you get a perfect view of the scenery along the trail with guides pointing out examples of flora and fauna,. Some kilometers down the trail begins the walking hike which leads to the Macuco Falls, 20 metres high, splashing down into a cool pool which is perfect for a dip on a very hot day. The last leg of the trail is the boat trip up-river in inflatable rubber dinghies to the base of the falls of Devil’s Gorge. B.L.D.
